Intriguer MSc. student Rodrigo Pierini presented the work titled “Implementação e avaliação da cifra de fluxo Forro14 em hardware programáavel Tofino usando a linguagem P4” at the 24th Brazilian Symposym on Information and Computer Systems Security – SBSEG, held at São José dos Campos – Brazil.
His paper investigated the feasibility and impact on computing resources of the Forro14 stream cipher algorithm in the Tofino programmable hardware switch. For comparison purposes, the ChaCha20 algorithm was also analyzed in terms of its performance and impact on the same switch.
