In its 102nd occasion, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) meeting was held in Montreal.
Sponsored by Internet Society (ISOC), Raphael Vicente Rosa attended the meeting to present the draft entitled “Methodology for VNF Benchmarking Automation” in Benchmarking Methodology Working Group (BMWG).

This draft, now in version -02, scopes the automation of the VNF benchmarking methodology, aiming the extraction of a VNF Benchmark Report (VNF-BR). Currently, this draft is also part of the BMWG charter and it is evolving in collaboration with Manuel Peuster and Holger Karl (Paderborn University) to become a standard in VNF benchmarking automation together with its reference implementations, Gym and tng-bench.

In addition, Danny Alex Lachos Perez also presented two drafts remotely. In Service Function Chaining (SFC) Working Group, Danny talked about “Multi-domain Service Function Chaining with ALTO”, and in ALTO Working Group Danny presented “ALTO-based broker-assisted multi-domain orchestration”.
