It is with great satisfaction that we announce that Ramon Fontes has obtained his PhD degree in Computer Engineering after four great years in our lab. Ramon presented [slides] his thesis entitled Mininet-WiFi: Emulation Platform for Software-Defined Wireless Networks [full-text] on 28th June 2018. The Mininet-WiFi wireless network emulator developed by Ramon with key user community contributions of diverse nature offers a useful experimental platform in support of many types of wireless networking research around the world (see citation and use case catalogue). We would like to congratulate Dr. Ramon Fontes for his achievement and thank everyone who has collaborated with this achievement.
