The IEEE Conference on Network Functions Virtualization and Software-Defined Networking (IEEE NFV-SDN) is an important forum for the ongoing exchange of the latest ideas, developments, and results in the areas of SDN, NFV, 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), and Edge Computing. The 6th IEEE NFV-SDN 2020 went virtual (due to coronavirus outbreak) and took place entirely on-line on the planned dates from 9-12 November 2020.
The Doctoral Symposium was a new feature for the NFV-SDN conference this year. It provided an opportunity for Ph.D. students to present their research work (in progress or recently completed) to experienced researchers from both industry and academia. Our Ph.D. candidate, Danny Lachos, presented his late-stage Ph.D. work entitled “MUDED: Integrating Networks with Applications through Multi-Domain Exposure and Discovery Mechanisms”, for which he received the best doctoral symposium paper award.
