Presentation in the SBRC 2018 – Demo Session

The Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (SBRC) Demo Session is a forum for developers and researchers interested in architecture, implementation and practical assessment systems and tools that contribute to knowledge advancement in distributed systems and computer networks area. With a more practical purpose, the Demo Session has an emphasis on demonstrating systems and tools, the experience of development, deployment and use issues, and also the perspectives created by them.

The Demo session edition was held in Campos do Jordão (Brazil), as part of the activities of the 36th Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (SBRC 2018).

INTRIG research group was present with a Demo during the session. Fabricio Rodriguez and Gyanesh Patra presented the paper “BB-Gen: A Packet Crafter for Data Plane Evaluation”, which is a simple CLI-based packet crafter to generate packet flows formatted as PCAP files. The tool supports different standard protocols and creates the necessary traces for network function configuration and testing. It allows creating PCAPs for worst and best case scenarios with all unique flows or following flow distributions published elsewhere.
